Women in Music Walks -Presented by City of Port Phillip for ROAR FEST  

Saturday 8th March 10am - 12 noon | 2pm - 4pm

Sunday 9th March 2pm-4pm 

The City of Port Phillips 2025 Guided Walks Program will feature three free walking tours celebrating International Women's Day as part of the ROAR FEST program 

Herstory Notable Women of St Kilda explores the stories behind women past and present who have lived, worked and contributed in significant ways to the St Kilda community. 

Two 'Women in St Kilda MusicWalking Tours, have been specially created to be unveiled as part of the ROAR FEST program. These walks highlight the diverse and talented female musicians and performers who have played key roles in the Australian mainstream and underground music scenes and performed in St Kilda's hallowed venues. 

These Walks will take place across Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March.  Inclusion is free but bookings are required via links below; 

HERSTORY: NOTABLE WOMEN OF ST KILDA – SATURDAY 8TH MARCH, 10 am – 12pm 

Book Join Marilyn Rudd to discover stories about the lives of Notable St Kilda Women, past and present, visit significant sites and celebrate 2025 International Women’s Day. 

START: O’Donnell Gardens Carlisle Street, St Kilda | FINISH: Christ Church 14 Acland Street, St Kilda 

WOMEN IN MUSIC WALKING TOUR - SATURDAY 8 MARCH, 2 pm to 4 pm 

Join Melynda von Wayward and special guest Fiona Lee Maynard (Earwigs, H.A.N.D, Vertical Smile, Femme Royal, In Vivo, Dalicados and The Oz Transplants) to hear stories about Fiona’s extensive career in music while taking a walk around some of St Kilda’s iconic music venues. 

START: Outside The George Hotel 129 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda | FINISH: MEMO Music Hall 88 Acland Street, St Kilda 

WOMEN IN MUSIC WALKING TOUR - SUNDAY 9 MARCH, 2 pm to 4 pm 

Join Melynda von Wayward and special guest Helen Cattanach (T- bones, Moler, Los Dominados, Brazillionaires, Spencer P Jones and The Escape Committee, Kim Volkman and The Whiskey Priests and Doll Squad) to hear stories about Helen’s amazing career in music while taking a walk around some of St Kilda’s iconic music venues.
